Keith for blogI had bright red ginger hair, it had a wave then it just turned up, it just grew up, it would have been like a Mohican…. It was strong wiry hair, I used to get called ‘Brillo pad’ and ‘Ginger’.

Age 77, born in Hadley, Essex in 1936. Keith’s father suffered from what must have been post traumatic stress disorder after the war.

It was his mother who held the family together.

Married with two daughters, one of whom died suddenly in 2003, Keith has two grandchildren, from his other daughter.

Keith went to City of Norwich School. He has worked in stables and accountants, for Shell and Norfolk County Council. He has been a part time caretaker, is on the Committee of the Bluebell Allotments and is passionate about chrysanthemums.

Keith and his wife are happily retired. “We love it, we would like a bit more money, but we cope. We are the same, we have never owed a penny; if we can’t have it we won’t get it… if we want anything we save up.”
